I’m glad to have some firsthand account of it working. I wonder if the Samba package could be downgraded on Rocky OS 9.x and work. (I’d like to leave this server configured as it is for quite some time.)
I thought I saw, in the RHEL 9 documentation, where you had to have winbind. I can’t find it now.
Anyway, thanks for the info and I’m going to try downgrading the package to 4.15.x in ROS 9 and if that doesn’t work (or isn’t possible) running ROS 8.8.
