Utilizo uma placa RX 580, AMD, não é NVIDIA. QUando ligo, acelera o cooler de resfriamento, porém, não dá video no monitor. Testei o monitor, ele está ok, são dois monitores, mas, internamente, a placa de video liga suas luzes, só não está dando vídeo, creio que seja o ROCKY LINUX.

Does the monitor show anything at all, such as the BIOS/UEFI splash screen or POST, before Rocky Linux starts loading?

  • If yes (BIOS screen shows fine, but video drops once the OS starts booting), it’s probably a Linux/kernel driver issue (likely amdgpu needs a boot parameter like nomodeset or a kernel/firmware update).
  • If no, you should check your monitor and its connections.

Testei o cabeamento HDMI com outro notebook, funcionou o espelhamento de tela. Já no computador, não funcionou, liga, faz um barulho de decolaragem de avião, liga, contudo, não aparece video de inicialização, nem o LOGO do ROcky Linux, nem da placa mãe ou coisa do tipo (a marca da placa). ALias, tenho dois monitores, ambos conectados em DISPLAYPORT.

Não sei se está corrompido ou algo assim.

Since you’re not seeing any video at all, not even the motherboard logo, that rules out Rocky Linux. The OS doesn’t get a chance to load if POST isn’t completing, so this is a hardware issue, not a software one.

A few things to check:

  • Reseat the GPU in the PCIe slot.
  • Check that the 6 pin/8 pin power connectors on the card
  • Try a different DisplayPort cable. Your HDMI test only confirmed the monitor and cable work, not this computer’s DP output.
  • Make sure your PSU has enough wattage for the RX 580
