# Installing Nethserver on Rocky

This might be a case of “picking nose with a crowbar” but I ask still:

Has anyone tried to install Nethserver ([nethserver.org](http://nethserver.org)) on Rocky linux?  
I already found simple guide how-to install nethserver on CentOS. ( [https://www.linuxhelp.com/installation-and-configuration-of-nethserver-in-centos](https://www.linuxhelp.com/installation-and-configuration-of-nethserver-in-centos) )

Well, visiting the link for the release download on the article you posted:

[http://mirror.nethserver.org/nethserver/](http://mirror.nethserver.org/nethserver/)

shows that it’s only available for 6.x and 7.x RHEL/CentOS so no it won’t be possible on Rocky, until they release a version for 8.x RHEL/CentOS/Rocky, etc.

Well thats a bit of a letdown, thanks anyway I’ll use the time meanwhile to learn Rocky which looks great (but bit overwhelming).
