We’ve had a lot of security updates recently, especially kernels, so much so that I’ve started to pay more attention to the color grading of the update notice on errata. Looking through the CVE rating of a recent kernel update (sept 25) contains 13 CVEs, one at 9.8, but the errata listing is more orange than red. An update to unbound on the same day is definitely red, it contains 3 updates with a max CVE of 9.1. I’m applying all these updates anyway (even the two kernel updates I’ve had to apply today, Saturday) but I’m curious about the grading, I thought the 9.8 would be flagged as more important then the 9.1?
