If anyone is still looking to use their old Broadcom wireless cards, ELRepo now has the following packages:

- [kmod-b43](https://elrepo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=kmod-b43) (includes b43 and b43legacy; backport of open source driver from LTS kernels)
- [kmod-wl](https://elrepo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=kmod-wl) (Broadcom’s proprietary hybrid driver…see link for caveats)

First I tested a Dell DW1540 (BCM43228) with the _b43_ and got around 20Mbps download speeds. It wasn’t that great, so I tested it with the _wl_ and got around 160Mbps download speeds.

Enjoy and appreciate any feedback.
